Betsy Garcia, RN

     My name is Elizabeth, but I go by Betsy. I was born in Providence, Rhode Island. I grew up in Greensboro, NC. I am half Mexican and half Italian. Summer is my favorite season. Pink and purple are my favorite colors. I love kids, animals, the beach, the mountains, scrapbooking , taking pictures, making jewelry, spending time with friends and family, and helping those in need. I have a cat named Sebastian and a Maltese named Snowy.

     I married my best friend, Luis in May of 2015. We went to Jamaica for our honeymoon and loved it. If I could travel the world for free, I would do it in a heartbeat. I have traveled up and down the east coast and into Mexico to visit family. Cancun, Mexico is by far my favorite vacation spot. I would love to go to Hawaii, Spain, and Italy.

    Nursing is my passion. I received my BSN from UNCG in May of 2012. I started my nursing career on a medical- surgical unit at WFBMC in July of 2012. I worked there for 3 years and learned so much. I transferred to a general pediatric unit in March 2016. I have always loved kids and pediatric nursing is where I am meant to be.

    My goal is to further my knowledge in pediatric nursing and to use my inpatient hospital experience to help patients in the clinic. I am most excited about starting a new beginning of my nursing career and getting to know new people. I wanted an office job for better hours in hopes of starting a family soon. Also, I think it would be awesome to watch children grow within the practice.
